A glowing fire in the doorway of the hut symbolises the warmth and light that the bride, will introduce into the groom’s house. Even his proposal is couched in the fire metaphor, as he states how dark his house is and asks her for an ember from that fire.

Eleven cattle, representing a living dowry, form the border of the art. The groom carefully chooses each cow, looking for the most beautiful colourings – his way of expressing his deep love for his bride. These living symbols of his commitment and passion will continue to draw admiring comments and remarks from others as they are struck by their beauty.
