What is a future if not preceded by hope?

This beautiful art is inspired by that hope in action, from all those who dedicate their lives to saving the rhino, a plight brought to worldwide attention from the tragedy of poaching.

Historically, however, the rhino held significant status, as evidenced by its appearance on totems for various clans in Africa. In fact, an 800-year-old golden rhino statue was discovered in Mapungubwe, an ancient settlement in the north of South Africa.

Awe rivals fear in the face of these colossal and extremely solid looking animals. But generally, the white rhino is quite relaxed, unless provoked of course by the threat of danger to her calf. Then she can unleash the might of 30 men. The black rhino on the other hand, is prone to aggression without provocation.

Our hope for the rhino’s survival lives in this art; a heartfelt tribute to those who fight for its future.
